Rolling Plains Regional Jail and Detention Center Inspection

October 24-26, 2001 the Texas Commission on Jail Standards conducted their annual suprise inspection at Rolling Plains Regional Jail and Detention Center. The three day audit conducted by TCJS inspector Jackie Semmler found no deficiencies. The Inspector was very complementary and pleased with the staff and the facility itself. A Certificate of Compliance was issued upon the review of the report by the Executive Director of the Texas Commission on Jail Standards.
San Luis Regional Detention and Support Center Receives "Perfect" Score

Emerald's San Luis Regional Detention and Support Center passed the 2001 ICE audit with ZERO findings, again.
This was made possible by staff, services, programs, health care and security operations essential to effective correctional management.
Chapel of Hope Dedication, Epps, LA

The new inmate Chapel at the West Carroll Detention Center is complete and was built by the Kingdom Builders of America through donations. The pews and sound system were also donated by the First Baptist Church of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The Chapel has the ability to accomodate 199 people and offers a number of religious programs and services to the facility.

It took more than two years, but the 40-by-60-foot Chapel of
Hope at the West Carroll Detention Center in Epps opened
two weeks ago with 29 professions of faith and the dedication ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, October 1st at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow at the Mission Office.
2nd Annual Arizona Detention Association Leadership Retreat
Emerald was recongnized by Tim Graver, 1st Vice Chair of the Arizona Detention Association, for their financial support and mentorship as an instructor during the 2nd Annual Arizona Detention Association Leadership Retreat held outside Sholow, Arizona. Emerald staff were commended on their professionalism and support during the event.
New Health Services Management Agreement

Emerald Healthcare Systems, LLC entered into an agreement with the Academy of Training Skills (ATS) for the provision of health-related management and consultation services at the ATS Facility in Lacassine, Louisiana. ATS is an academy that takes a non-force approach to building the responsibilities of individuals. The academy builds itself as an alternative program to being imprisoned.

Professional Development Leadership Seminar

The San Luis Regional Detention Center and Support Center hosted the 1st Professional Development Leadership Seminar for Supervisors. This event offered supervisors essential skills to assist with their daily interaction with subordinates, peers and supervisors.
